Halo Infinite cancels Local Co-op plans

We’re sorry to report that Halo Infinite’s local co-op campaign has been cancelled.

The reason for the cancellation is due to developer resources being redirected to other aspects of the game’s live service. This is unfortunate news, as the team has struggled to add substantial content to the game since its late 2021 launch.

We hope that 343 Industries will reconsider their decision and bring back local co-op in a future update. In the meantime, we’ll just have to keep our fingers crossed.

Some slight good news….?

Some possible good news if you still play the game regardless – Infinite’s Forge mode is in Beta launching on November 8th just in time for Season 3.

Afterwards we’ll see some Online campaign co-op during Season 3 – which runs from November 2nd through March 7th.

Were you looking forward to the return of local co-op in halo?
